This is the specially commissioned certificate from HQ. Certificates are available from the Region Office and will be signed by the Chief Guide, the Region Chief Commissioner and the County Commissioner. This award is designed to accompany either the Good Service Award or the Thanks Badge. The criteria for the Good Service Award will remain as an adult only award. The Thanks Badge has been confirmed for all ages. Both can be used with a Hero Certificate and/or their current certificate as appropriate.
Any member can suggest a recipient for recognition and if a special certificate is to be given, the decision to make the award can only be released via the County Commissioner.

Anglia’s ‘Big Thank You’ Certificate
This certificate can be used to show thanks and gratitude to anyone who has made a worthy contribution or difference to guiding over the past year. This can be used where one of the traditional awards at County, Region or national level isn’t appropriate.
Examples of what the certificates could be used for include:
Thanking a member who has gone beyond their normal role within a unit, for example by supporting other units during the pandemic.
- Thanking volunteers who ran an online event engaging girls and/or adults that otherwise wouldn’t have been able to access guiding at this time.
- Thanking someone whose positivity has supported others when it was needed most.
